In this project we originally wanted to move away from the classic image of the house. The house nowadays is an adaptable living unit, transformable for different tasks and different ways of life.
Le Corbusier once said: the house is a machine for living. Kazuo Shinohara said: the house is a work of art. We decided that the house is transformable machine for art.

The form is a minimalist monolith, with facades that open like an accordion. In general, the light in this project is a key point: there is a lot of it.
We paid special attention to the architectural form search . You can see the metamorphosis of shape formation in the 3D diagrams.
The facade and the windows in the roof consist of frosted glass that lets in and diffuses natural sunlight.

The house is located in the middle of the forest edge, merging with the surrounding environment - the opening perimeter of windows seems to erase the boundary between inside and outside.
The interior patio is the soul of the project. It is a minimalist, monochrome garden where water, plants and blue LED lighting come together to create a tranquil and calming environment.
Here we see the “core” of the project, the central part where the flow of people is distributed: the architecture itself tells us where to go next. A ramp leads the public area, while the staircase hides us in a private space with a bedroom and an office.

Question: what to do with construction debris?

Answer: Paint it red and turn it into an Anish Kapoor-style art object.
The entrance to the public area is via a ramp, just like in contemporary art museums. The atrium allows a huge amount of natural light into the space, creating a sophisticated and peaceful atmosphere.
Hall. Entrance to the office and bedroom.
The interiors are arranged so that there is always plenty of natural light. This helps to increase the energy efficiency of the entire house.
